Ruby is a strategic thinker. And not just professionally; her personal decisions are also informed by a broad perspective. That is, if her motivation to choose Goedman + Ooms is any indication. “To start with, I think their work is simply beautiful. Framing art pieces is an art unto itself. A tasteful presentation can genuinely enhance art.”

“Goedman + Ooms are frame makers, not frame sellers”

Collection Manager. Assistant Restorer. Registrar. It’s all listed on Jildou Zandstra’s LinkedIn profile. That last title requires a brief explanation. “As Registrar, I’m ‘front and center’ for all art loan initiatives: objects that are on loan to us for exhibits, and objects that we loan out. This includes negotiating with colleague museums, private owners, insurance companies, transport companies, and so on. Which is cool, but my real passion is physically managing and preserving our collection. Collection management, art handling, and restoration give me pure joy.”

“I love their willingness to be bold. To propose out-of-the-box solutions”

goedman+ooms+ Bart Lunenburg

“Home is so sad / It stays as it was left / Shaped to the comfort of the last to go / As if to win them back” could have been a poem by multidisciplinary artist Bart Lunenburg. Like Philip Larkin, Bart endows buildings with a power of ‘remembrance.’ Although not in poetry, but in scale models that often develop into sculptures, photographs, drawings, textile pieces, and installations.

“Goedman + Ooms share my love of materials and eye for precision”
